It’s ok to be selfish - Self Care
Take a moment to let go. Remind yourself that you are important.
Every day is a constant marathon, but you can accomplish every obstacle that comes your way. You make it to the next day in life. You take pride in being able to help those around you…or you don’t.
But spending day in and day out for other people can get overwhelming.
In order to create a balance, doing things to tend to yourself are imperative. Think about what you like to do and what relaxes you. Are you artistic? Are you a bookworm? Are you more active than most? How can you care for YOU?
Self-care techniques can even be something as simple as having some alone time. Some people feel bad when they take time for themselves. It really eats at some people when their phone isn’t ringing because they’re addicted to the worrying.
Listen, it is perfectly fine to be selfish. If you are not at your full potential, how can you expect to help loved ones around you? Making the choice to be selfish with your time results in a happier you.
